Stephen is a founder and managing director at Alpha Partners. He brings 29 years of executive search experience growing client companies, departments and careers across both the software vendor and financial services market sectors. His experience and career trajectory has tracked the profound growth of these markets for 3 decades. Throughout this era, Stephen has been fortunate to advise and successfully complete hundreds of priority searches which have allowed his clients to scale while developing and maintaining their competitive advantage.

His expertise includes advising clients on mid to senior level placements for: global tech and fintech software vendors; start-up tech and fintech companies; hedge funds; investment banks/research and trading across asset classes; algorithmic and high frequency trading firms; asset management and private equity firms.

Stephen’s portfolio of work has enabled him to develop an extensive network of both clients and candidates, as well as a deep understanding of the competitive landscape within the areas that he focuses on.

Stephen holds degree’s in Philosophy, English and Political Science from NYU. 

Harvey Rand

Harvey is a founder and managing director at Alpha Partners. He is responsible for the Capital Markets and FinTech vendor practices at the firm.

He has an extensive placement track record and client network across investment banks, hedge funds, brokerage, treasury, private and public investing firms. His team building experience also includes practice areas within FinTech & Trading, Enterprise Software Solutions, Big Data/Data Science, Risk Management, Analytics, AI, Operational Processing, Digital Transformation and Infrastructure.

Harvey assists our clients to drive alpha throughout their hiring processes. Harvey has initiated numerous client relationships, actively engaging with industry leaders to successfully oversee major client assignments.

Prior to founding Alpha Partners, Harvey’s career included significant roles at JP Morgan Chase, Sybase, Fusion Systems Group, Summit Systems/Finastra, Principia Partners and o3 Technology Solutions.

Harvey holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from Columbia University and a BBA from Baruch College, CCNY.
